October was packed with many fun events at WES! Our PTO sponsored an after-school book fair, grade 5 put together an ice cream social, the Waterboro Fire Department came to discuss fire safety, our Instructional Support Network ran a Family Math Game Night, and the PTO put on an eerie-sistible Halloween Stroll. Good afternoon, WES Families! Just a reminder that the PreK and kindergarten bus ride takes place at WES tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Students will hear from our own bus drivers and have the opportunity to take a ride on the school bus (one caregiver may accompany each student). We look forward to seeing you there!

On Saturday, May 21st, Waterboro Elementary School hosted their Family Dance! Many families came to dance, play, sing, and socialize. It was a fabulous time for all who came; thanks goes out to our PTO for sponsoring this fun night!

As you are aware, tomorrow, March 9th, face masks will become optional in RSU 57 schools. All students discussed this in class today and the theme was in line with our theme of the month: diversity. We are all different, and a Model Mustang respects those differences. Just as we respect a student who decides whether or not they will wear a jacket out to recess or choses between boots and sneakers, so we will respect each person's choice to wear or not wear a mask. Please speak to your child(ren) about your wishes as a family and why it is important to help them make the choice you feel is best at school.
